Tame Impala | Apocalypse Dreams
Reverbed vocals, psyched up funk bass and general tripped out rock. Yes that’s right, we have the first taste of new Tame Impala and it’s everything we could have hoped for. Jumping piano bounces underneath Kevin Parker’s falsetto vocals before leading into a swaying half time chorus and back again. At the halfway mark it launches into full swirling psychedelia and never leaves, the phasers are turned all the way up.
Peter Chapman, Brent Randall and I were messing around with an old Casio Sk-1 recording noises/quips/and thoughts on life over the latter bit of this track. The words “i’m boring” can be heard looped and sped up toward the end - always cracks me up
We’ll be playing this song friday night at The Silver Dollar
Any filmmakers that could shoot some b/w 8mm footage for this song. I think it could be a great fit
